Seaweed Cultivation

Prasmo Agri directly involved in the sea farming of kappaphycus in the east coast shallow sea area by involving more than 1000 fisherman families. Our cultivation process is mainly to protect the livelihood of the down trodden, aged fisher folks who cannot ventured into the sea for fishing. Considering the area of cultivation and season special cultivation practices are being adopted. Normally this red alga is being cultivated with the seeding of red alga fragments as a propagation material. The matured alga in a period of about 45 days will be harvested. The harvested produce may contain the impurities like foreign materials will be removed at the sea shore itself as a preliminary processing. After this process the fresh red alga material will be shifted to our factory for further processing.
